All you need is the desire to research, learn and become an expert on a subject matter that is near and dear to your heart. However, to become a good reporter there are some basic requirements that need to be followed such as taking some journalism news writing courses at the local community and learning to write in AP style. These resources will teach you how to cover the who, what, where, when and why for every story to more important skills such as how to write an intriguing headline and lead paragraph that pulls readers into a story and keeps them there. We created the Breaking into Journalism website and the Daily Newswire Network (DNN) newspaper to give students in high school and college a chance to get some real world experience working in a newsroom and publishing stories in a real newspaper. We are seeking students that would like to add the following bullet points to their resume:
Our virtual news room allows you to
pick a subject matter or news beat from one of 315 of the most searched on news
categories on the Internet worldwide. Our virtual newsroom is set up exactly
like a newsroom for any large newspaper or magazine. Our search engines retrieves
news by keyword from over 50 newswires worldwide and puts them into a news queue
by beat for your review. You will get to decide which press release should be turned
into news stories and which ones will be deleted.
The good thing about our news room is that it is virtual.
All you need is a laptop and a broadband internet connection. You can work from anywhere
in the world. You do not have to worry about newsroom politics, dress codes or gas
money to get to work. You can edit stories on your time schedule as long as you can meet
our morning deadlines.

not want to work anywhere else. One of the things we will show you is how

on by other students for every beat that you are covering.

content with Google ads and Kontera text links and you will start to understand
how much money will can make. Use the Google revenue to hire some advertising
sales reps and then you can really start making some great money.
We will even show you how to use Google Trends to identify up
and coming news trends and Google Analytics to track which news categories are making
the most money.

a publisher. There is nothing cooler than having your finger on the pulse of the
industry. Even better, you will have the power of the pen. If you want to sway
